At Sewing Summit, I got to spend some time with a lot of people. But there was a group of about 9 of us who really hit it off, so we decided that in addition to the Post Sewing Summit Swap we'd do a smaller, more intimate swap. I received my package from Paula, and of course started using my bags right away! She sent me two new grocery bags--and a Jane Market Bag which I have since decided was too pretty to put groceries in so now it's my knitting bag.
I was assigned to make something for Leigh. She asked for zipper pouches, or potholders, or something for her kitchen, but when I sat down to plan the project, I was so uninspired. So I decided to let the fabric choose for me--I started piecing scraps and an unloved Farmer's Wife block. I made two panels. Then I sandwiched those with some fusible fleece and a backing fabric, and quilted dense straight lines all over. At this point I knew I had a tote bag on my hands, so I finished putting it together and coupled the bag with a cute quilting notebook and sent the entire package off to England!

I love the bags she made for you! One can never have enough bags.
Or zipper pouches.
AHAHAHAHA! Seriously, I have about a zillion.
