In the Garden

I'm trying desperately to keep up with harvesting and weeding right now.  Everything is growing growing growing!  I shelled, blanched, and froze over two quarts of peas.  Two cups of red and black currants are waiting in the freezer (what to do with those?)  The brussels sprouts are growing bigger, and I now have zucchini, cucumbers, and (hopefully) pumpkins growing nicely.

Despite my allergy, I decided to plant a few sad tomato plants, but I don't have high hopes for them as I think the bed they're in doesn't get enough sun.  I'm debating moving them, but I don't want to shock them again.  The bell peppers are looking good though, so hopefully they'll produce something (I'd be happy with just one!)

Since taking these pictures, the peas finished up and I've pulled them out of the bed.  Raspberries are nearly done (I got about 2.5 quarts of frozen berries--not too shabby for my first year!)

Boy you are just a growing abundantly! The pictures of your fresh grown veggies and fruits are beautiful. My husband and I are moving full-time into an RV and I'm a firm believer that if you want to do something, it's adaptable and can be done. So I'm trying to figure out how we can continue gardening in the RV. I have some ideas a brewing. ;)

Totally! There are so many things you can do in a small space or even in containers. I've read articles about people who grow enough to feed their small families for a season from just a small apartment balcony.
