Craft Show Recap

I've had a couple really great shows lately, but I'm so happy to be on a break for awhile. With Christmas just around the corner and family visiting, I feel like I'm running out of time. Eamon has been such a good boy lately, I'm sure Santa will be good to him!

E went with me to his first craft show a few weeks ago, the Indie Banditas Bazaar. He did so well, and I was so proud of him! He spent a lot of time in his "fort."



On another note, I am really digging my latest display for fairs, which is much more simple--less boxes and baskets, and more "just product." I still need to work on it, but I don't have any fairs scheduled for now, so that will wait.





And just so you have something (kind of) funny to think about: today I was running errands with my sister, and forgot to hide a Christmas present for E. Of course when I picked him up from school, he saw it and freaked out. So I told him that Santa asked Mommy to do him a favor and pick up a gift for someone, and that I still needed to wrap it, since because of the recession all the elves have been laid off. (Side note--my sister thinks I'm a total dork.)

Indie Banditas Bazaar, Take II

Last weekend was my second Indie Banditas Bazaar of the year, and though business was a bit slow (for me) I'll definitely be going back in February. I love the energy of this show, and all the talented people I've met. I didn't take any pictures, but imagine a big gym filled with 80 creative booths, and you'll get it. :O)

Over the course of the two days, I managed to trade for several Christmas presents, but of course I can't blog those until after I give them away...

I think the highlight of this trip was meeting Kathy Mack of Pink Chalk Fabrics. She is so sweet, and graciously handled my blathering, babbling self while I carefully (oh so carefully) picked out three bags of "scraps." Each bag was about 1.5 yards of fabric. I got some Wonderland, Katie Jump Rope, Lightning Bugs (!!!), and various others of which I'll try to remember to take pictures.

And of course, a big, big thank you to Kate Butler, who started this whole thing. She's my hero. Seriously Kate, you rock my socks!

Ballard Art in the Garden

I'm so excited! I have more inventory than I've ever brought to a show before, my booth is coming together nicely, and there's going to be a beer garden! Well, I suppose I shouldn't drink tomorrow, but yey for everyone else! Anyhow, come see me if you're local; I'd love to meet you!

Indie Banditas Bazaar

I had so much fun this weekend, at the Indie Banditas Bazaar on Bainbridge Island. My mom and I left early Friday morning, stayed overnight, and came home late Saturday. The Bug stayed at home with Daddy! (Woohoo!)



This was our table the first day (my mom is to the left.)







We made lots of new friends.





Slept in a campground on the beach, and were awakened in the morning by waves (and fireworks in the middle of the &*#>& night.)





And did lots of shopping and trading.



The second day we changed our table (and had better sales. Coincidence?) (Isn't my water bottle pretty?)



And had good music to listen to! This is Kate's very talented--and self-taught--son. We wanted to stay for the concert with The Battle of Land and Sea and Jacob Golden but it was late.

This weekend was really, really, really fun, and I can't wait to do it again!
